1. On how many computers may I install Vocabulary 2.1?

   You can install Vocabulary to only one computer. If you wish to use the program on more than one computer, you can order extra licence(s) for it/them. Individual users can buy maximum two licences. Companies can order up to nine extra licences.

2. How many times may I install Vocabulary on a certain computer?

   You can install Vocabulary on a certain computer as many times as you want. But, during every installation you need to contact the authors, and explain the reason for new installation. Then you will get a new serial number. Common reasons for new installation are accidental deinstallation of Vocabulary, new Operating System, new hard disk drive, system crash (mostly because of virus infection), etc.

3. If I change my computer, can I instal the dictionary on the new one?

   Of course you can, but only in case that you will uninstall it on the old one. You need to contact the authors, and report an installation to a new computer. Then you will get a new serial number.

   If you wish to use it on both computers, then you must buy an extra license (see the title).

4. While installing, during the copy process a message appears "CRC Error"; or "Insert disk #2" etc).

   The most common reason for this error is an old CD-ROM drive. Unfortunately, sometimes you can get this error with the new ones too (for unknown reason). If that happened, you must call us for new serial number. The second or third try of installation is often successful. But if it isn't, try in some other computer(s). If you still can't install Vocabulary, the CD is faulty. The Vocabulary has been already installed to 1900 computers. None of the CD-ROMs was faulty, the trouble was always with the user's computer.

5. During the setup process the Support for Word can't be installed. (Even if it is somehow installed, Vocabulary still wont start from Word.)

   You probably have installed Word 2003 (or newer) or some localized version in serbian or croatian or in some other language. Please download and run the "Support for MS Word 2.5". This program will also fix some problems with calling the dictionary from Word, which occur when the "Security" option in the "Macro security settings" is set to "High".

6. I have installed the Full version, but I don't have pronunciation for serbian and some english words.

   In this version pronunciation is included for some 15000 english words. In the next version there will be support for serbian words too.

7. Why does Vocabulary not start? Translator, Add/Change, Grammar and Help are working.

   Kada Vocabulary neće da startuje, moguće je i prijavljivanje greške: "This program has performed an ilegal operation...". Do greške dolazi ako se Vocabulary poziva preko ikonice ili menija iz Worda, a istovremeno je selektovan dugačak tekst u istom (više od 50 slova) - nakon zatvaranja programa Vocabulary, on sledeći put neće biti u mogućnosti da se pokrene (zato što se u registry bazu upisala reč sa previše karaktera).

   Da više ne bi dolazilo do ove greške download-ujte i pokrenite program "Support for MS Word 2.5".

8. Can I call Vocabulary or Translator from some other program?

   Of course, you can call the dictionary from any window pressing the keys "Ctrl+C". The selected word(s) will be forwarded to Vocabulary or to translator depending on which was started last.

9. Can Translator translate texts from serbian to english language?

   No. In the version 2.0 and 2.1 Translator can translate texts only from english to serbian language. The future versions will support translations vice versa.

10. Do you have similar dictionaries for some other languages?

    No, we don't. But we are planning some dictionaries in the future. The first will be german-serbian.

11. I can't install the dictionary under Windows 2000 or XP. Why?

    Vocabulary can be installed on Windows 2000 or Windows XP only if you are a user with administrative rights. Otherwise the installation will not start (error: WinXP->"Error installing iKernel.exe (0xa00); Win2000->"Setup failed to launch installation engine, class not registered). If you don't have an administrative rights (this is frequent in companies), you must ask an administrator or some of the users with an administrative rights, to install Vocabulary 2.1. After that you must log to Windows as a standard user, download and run the program "MultiUser2kXP.exe". If you do not do that, the program will work, but with constant errors like: "Failed to get data for 'StatusBar'" or "Scrollbar out of range" etc.

    Also, download and run the program "Support for MS Word 2.5" to install the support for all non-administrative users.

12. After the installation of the dictionary, instead of translation there are some "hyerogliphs"!

    Imate nekih problema sa hardverom (najčešće sa hard-diskom) za koje niste ni znali. Neki dijagnostički program kao što je ScanDisc ili Norton Disc Doctor će verovatno otkloniti problem. U suprotnom neophodno je formatiranje hard-diska i ponovna instalacija operativnog sistema.

13. Zašto nisu iste boje pozadine prozora i pozadine ikonica u programu Vocabulary?

    To se dešava ako promenite boju pozadine prozora (u okviru Display Settings-a) u Windows 98 okruženju. Dešava se i korisnicima Windows Me, Windows 2000 i Windows XP (jer se u ova tri operativna sistema već posle instalacije koristi svetlija nijansa sive boje za pozadinu prozora).

    Ovaj nedostatak je u ispravljen u verziji 2.1.
